Breeding program

Boer goats bred to work on pasture

Our herd is fully ABGA-registered, built on proven maternal lines and bred for what a commercial or show operation actually needs: sound structure, easy kidding, heavy milk, and kids that grow on forage.

What we select for

Structure

Correct feet and legs, strong toplines, and the capacity to carry condition into old age.

Maternal strength

Does that kid unassisted, mother hard, and raise twins on milk alone.

Growth on forage

Kids that hit weaning weights on pasture and hay, not just off a feed pan.

Temperament

Calm, handleable animals: a herd you can work alone without a rodeo.

Kidding & availability

We kid primarily from December through February. Kids are ABGA-registered, vaccinated on schedule, and weaned at 60 days.

Wethers, commercial-quality kids, and show-quality doe and buck kids are available for 4-H and FFA projects. Reservations open each fall; see our sales policies for how deposits work.

Herd health

The herd is maintained as a closed herd apart from carefully vetted additions, with hoof care, vaccinations, and records kept on a set schedule. Our veterinarian performs annual herd exams and consults, and that strong working relationship backs every animal we raise. Health paperwork travels with every animal sold, and health certificates for out-of-state buyers are arranged through our veterinarian.
